What you will do
- Support design, setup, and improvement of material-handling systems such as supermarkets, kitting areas, and milk-run routes.
- Maintain and update material-flow data, including bills of materials, engineering changes, and new product/process introductions.
- Analyze material movement to identify bottlenecks and improve flow for safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance.
- Monitor impacts of manufacturing or process changes and adjust material-flow strategies accordingly.
- Collaborate with production, supply chain, engineering, and other teams to recommend and support improvement initiatives.
- Assist with planning and scheduling systems to reduce queue times and support just-in-time delivery; support implementation and improvement of related software, hardware, and equipment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- Level I: up to 2 years of experience in manufacturing, supply chain, or industrial engineering.
- Level II: 1–3 years of experience in manufacturing, supply chain, or industrial engineering; 2–3 years of experience in material-flow or internal logistics processes preferred.
- Level III: 3–5 years of experience in manufacturing, supply chain, or industrial engineering; 3–5 years with advanced material-flow strategies (kitting, supermarket design, milk-run systems).
- Knowledge of discrete manufacturing processes and material-handling systems; ability to design, analyze, and optimize material-flow layouts and logistics methods.
- Strong project-management skills and ability to lead cross-functional efforts and support teams through process changes.
