Operations Technician (Power Generation)

Location: OH New Albany - Power Generation, United States; onsite field work with rotating shifts, overtime, on-call duty, and travel between locations.

What you will do

• Operate, inspect, and maintain gas turbines, high-speed reciprocating engines, generators, power distribution equipment, and environmental control systems.
• Read drawings, inspect equipment, use hand tools, support pipeline operations, and perform preventive maintenance.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and operational issues while collaborating with teammates to analyze data and resolve technical challenges.
• Follow operating procedures, technical standards, permits, and safety requirements to protect people, the environment, and company assets.
• Maintain accurate process-operation records, reports, and logs, and support construction initiatives and other site projects.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid state driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call duty, with 10–12 hour shifts and possible overtime.
• Ability to work in extreme temperatures, loud areas, confined spaces, and elevated locations while using required PPE and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Technician I: 6+ months of mechanical or technical experience, or an internship with an associate degree; Technician II: 2+ years of related experience; Technician III: 3+ years of technician experience.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, safety commitment, Microsoft Office proficiency, and ability to learn new technologies.
