Product Director (Fintech)

Location: Must be based in Austin, Texas or San Francisco, California; at least 3 days per week in the office. Travel required 5–10% of the time.

Salary: $173,100–$307,600 USD per year, with potential bonus, equity, and sales incentive payments where applicable.

What you will do

• Shape product strategy, commercialization plans, and go-to-market execution for the North American Small Business and Emerging Middle Market portfolio.
• Assess market opportunities through client engagement, research, competitive analysis, and data-driven insights.
• Develop business cases, market assessments, strategic recommendations, and customer value propositions.
• Partner with global product organizations to evaluate capabilities, influence roadmap priorities, and adapt solutions for North American markets.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives with sales, marketing, compliance, legal, risk, operations, and technology teams.
• Support executive client engagements, monitor portfolio performance, and use hirify.global-approved AI tools for research, analysis, planning, and decision-making.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in product strategy, product marketing, product management, commercialization, market development, payments, fintech, commercial banking, or related fields.
• Experience developing and executing go-to-market strategies, product initiatives, or commercialization programs.
• Knowledge of small business, commercial banking, payments, financial services, fintech, or related markets.
• Ability to translate customer needs and market insights into actionable business or product strategies.
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking, stakeholder influence, and executive-level communication skills.
• Must be based in Austin, Texas or San Francisco, California and work from the office at least 3 days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience with small business or emerging middle market segments.
• Experience with commercial credit, debit, card products, treasury management, merchant services, or financial institutions.
• Experience adapting global products for local markets and executing product launches.
• MBA or another advanced business-related degree.
• Experience using AI-enabled tools to improve productivity, insight generation, and strategic decision-making.
