Cyber Test Engineer (Cybersecurity)

Salary: $55,000–$106,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience

What you will do

• Verify product consistency and quality throughout the development lifecycle.
• Build test environments and execute test plans for a high-visibility CNO development team.
• Contribute to custom test frameworks and test automation efforts.
• Create technical documentation and test-related materials.
• Work with internal and customer stakeholders to understand system requirements and mission needs.
• Develop practical experience with cybersecurity tools, systems, and testing frameworks under senior-team mentorship.

Requirements

• TS/SCI with CI Poly clearance is required, or the ability to obtain it upon hire.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related technical discipline.
• 0–1 years of test engineering or related experience; internships, co-ops, academic projects, and relevant coursework are acceptable.
• Foundational knowledge of offensive cyber operations, TCP/IP networking, Linux/Unix command line, and system operations.
• Experience with at least one scripting language, such as Python or Bash.
• Strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and analytical skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team and accept mentorship.

Nice to have

• Exposure to software testing methodologies, quality assurance, test case development, or test documentation.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, Git, Docker, or virtual machines.
• Participation in cybersecurity competitions such as CTF or Cyber Patriot.
• Security+, Linux+, Network+, or similar certifications.
• Demonstrated self-learning ability and passion for cybersecurity.
