TL;DR
Senior Engineer II (System Design/Azure DevOps): Designing, building, and maintaining scalable systems and infrastructure components with an accent on architecture, production-quality delivery, and end-to-end feature ownership. Focus on leading cross-functional technical initiatives, managing technical requirements and data lineage, and solving complex ambiguous engineering challenges.
Location: Hybrid work in Newark, Delaware, with up to 3 days per week permitted within a reasonable commuting distance

What you will do
- Drive critical technical initiatives and contribute to system design and implementation.
- Design, build, and maintain scalable systems, services, and infrastructure components.
- Make long-term architectural decisions and own features and projects end to end.
- Lead cross-functional technical initiatives with minimal oversight.
- Conduct code reviews focused on quality, performance, and maintainability.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver impactful solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Five years of experience as a System Engineer, Planning Engineer, Business Analyst, or in a related role.
- Five years of experience with computer science fundamentals, system design, and architecture.
- Five years of experience with one or more modern programming languages, including Python, Java, Go, or TypeScript.
- Experience designing and deploying production-quality systems at scale, developing technical business requirements, and creating data ERD diagrams for cross-system data lineage.
- Experience with technology product ownership and Azure DevOps for project delivery management, dependency tracking, and solution effort estimates.
