Systems Engineer (AWS/Linux)

What you will do

• Support, maintain, and enhance Linux infrastructure for 24/7 electronic trading systems.
• Respond to incidents, execute changes, troubleshoot issues, and resolve performance problems in the Linux environment.
• Develop and improve tools for provisioning, configuration, monitoring, and automation across thousands of Linux servers.
• Manage DHCP, LDAP, DNS, and NFS services across on-premises, hosted data centers, and public cloud environments.
• Design and improve AWS cloud environments for low-latency performance, resilience, availability, and observability.
• Participate in a rotational on-call schedule, including early mornings and weekends.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience operating and administering advanced Linux environments.
• Strong knowledge of Linux internals, operating system principles, and server-side networking.
• Experience developing automation and monitoring tools using Python and Bash.
• Experience with Ansible, configuration management, provisioning, orchestration, source control, CI/CD, and automated deployment.
• Strong expertise in AWS compute, networking, and storage services, including EC2, ENA, VPC, ELB, Direct Connect, S3, and EBS, with a focus on low-latency performance engineering.
• Ability to solve technical problems methodically, communicate effectively, take responsibility, and complete projects.

Nice to have

• Experience with Docker or Kubernetes.
• Participation in open-source or personal projects.
• AWS DevOps Engineer Professional or AWS Advanced Networking certification.
