What you will do

• Own the engineering, architecture, and day-to-day management of global edge and backbone network infrastructure.
• Diagnose and resolve complex network faults, leading incident response and post-incident reviews.
• Design and ship production-grade AI agents to automate network operations and accelerate root cause analysis.
• Architect improvements to reduce latency and packet loss while increasing global infrastructure scale.
• Mentor junior engineers and establish technical standards for operational excellence.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to produce high-quality design documentation and SOPs.

Requirements

• Must be based in Austin, Atlanta, Denver, Seattle, or Mexico City.
• Proven track record in large-scale network engineering and operations.
• Proficiency in Python, TypeScript, or Go for building and maintaining agent code.
• Deep expertise in BGP, anycast routing, MPLS, and Segment Routing.
• Experience with network automation frameworks like SaltStack or Ansible.
• Strong understanding of agent integration patterns and production-level AI failure modes.

Nice to have

• Experience shipping LLM-powered tooling into production.
• Professional-level network certification (JNCIP, CCNP, or equivalent).
• Experience with optical transport technologies (CWDM/DWDM).
• Linux system administration skills.
