Principal FP&A Analyst

Location: Herndon, Virginia, USA; hybrid with on-site work 2–3 days per week. Candidates should live within approximately 50 miles of the office.

Base salary: $150,900–$195,000 USD annually, plus bonus plans and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead companywide forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and long-range planning activities.
• Prepare monthly consolidated variance analyses, KPI reporting, performance insights, and executive-ready materials.
• Partner with executives and functional leaders to support strategic decisions and strengthen financial discipline.
• Develop financial models for headcount, operating expenses, non-payroll costs, contracts, ROI, and business cases.
• Support board and investor reporting, corporate development, acquisition evaluation, synergy assessments, and post-integration analysis.
• Improve FP&A systems, dashboards, reporting processes, automation, and standardization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• 8–12+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, investment banking, or public accounting.
• Advanced financial modeling skills and strong forecasting discipline.
• Experience leading financial planning cycles, partnering with senior executives, and presenting to leadership teams.
• Strong understanding of ERPs, planning systems, reporting tools, and cross-functional financial analysis.
• Applicants must have the right to work in the United States.

Nice to have

• MBA, CPA, or a similar advanced credential.
• Experience with financial systems, planning tools, and data visualization platforms.
