Nuclear Completion Engineer

Location: Oak Ridge, Tennessee, United States; 5 days in office. Hours: 8:00am–5:00pm, Monday–Friday.

Salary: $126,000–$141,000 for Level III, $141,750–$164,250 for Level IV, and $165,000–$190,000 for Level V per year.

What you will do

• Translate readiness criteria into measurable requirements, acceptance criteria, turnover prerequisites, and objective evidence standards.
• Build and maintain completions databases covering requirements, owners, statuses, due dates, dependencies, and evidence links.
• Coordinate punchlist tracking and resolution across construction, commissioning, operations, maintenance, QA, nuclear safety, engineering, and training functions.
• Review turnover packages and evidence files for completeness, traceability, signatures, current revisions, and adequate support for readiness claims.
• Monitor system turnover milestones, identify roadblocks and dependencies, and prepare readiness reports for management and Operational Readiness Reviews.
• Facilitate cross-functional coordination and influence stakeholders without formal authority to drive action closure.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, engineering technology, project management, or a related discipline; experience may substitute for a degree.
• Relevant experience in project coordination, completions tracking, readiness verification, commissioning support, or startup in nuclear or another highly regulated industry.
• Experience with tracking systems, action-item databases, or requirements verification matrices.
• Ability to work with rigorous documentation, traceability, evidence verification, and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Level III typically requires 5+ years of relevant experience; Level IV 10+ years; Level V 15+ years and direct nuclear facility operations, commissioning, or startup experience.
• Onsite availability in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, five days per week is required.
