Solutions Engineer - Enterprise (Data Center)

Location: Remote, but residence is required in the surrounding Detroit, MI or Grand Rapids, MI area

Estimated annual pay: $160,000–$260,000, including base salary and bonus.

What you will do

• Evaluate customer data center environments and infrastructure technologies with account teams.
• Design and propose tailored solutions aligned with customer business objectives, needs, and budgets.
• Build technical relationships with OEMs and strategic partners and maintain current product knowledge.
• Provide product training and technical education to sales teams and customers.
• Advise customers and collaborate with Field Account Executives and senior client stakeholders, including CIOs, IT Directors, and CTOs.
• Manage the solution practice pipeline and identify opportunities across data center, cloud, network, security, collaboration, and services.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in a similar role and experience with complex data center sales opportunities.
• Bachelor’s degree or relevant professional experience.
• Ability to design infrastructures using hybrid cloud, hyperconverged systems, software-defined data centers, infrastructure or platform as a service, automation, containerization, and data center management platforms.
• Strong knowledge of virtualization, hypervisors, server virtualization, software-defined data centers, containerization, and automation.
• Expertise with technologies from Dell Technologies, NetApp, HPE, Cisco, Pure Storage, Azure, AWS, Veeam, and Nutanix.
• Experience with disaster recovery, business continuity, high availability, backup and recovery, data protection, mirroring, clustering, and active/standby or active/active architectures.

Nice to have

• Advanced certification in Dell Technologies, Cisco, VMware, NetApp, Pure Storage, HPE, Azure, AWS, Commvault, Rubrik, Cohesity, Veeam, or Nutanix.
