IT Engineer - Networking

Location: UK - London - HQ; hybrid/remote schedule with short-distance travel to UK site offices required

Salary: £60,000–£90,000 gross annual compensation, including base salary and bonus

What you will do

• Perform network maintenance, upgrades, patching, hot fixes, and security configuration.
• Maintain network standards, policies, best practices, and operational procedures.
• Configure network equipment and implement LAN/WAN, wireless, data center, and cloud connectivity changes.
• Monitor network availability and performance, troubleshoot incidents, and support root cause analysis.
• Use network administration, automation, monitoring, and visualization tools to improve operational efficiency.
• Provide customer support, onsite assistance for network projects, and on-call response for networking emergencies.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience implementing data and converged network infrastructure.
• In-depth knowledge of Cisco IOS/NXOS, PANOS, STP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, VXLAN, and access lists.
• Experience with 802.1X, vPC, wireless networks, F5 load balancers, VPNs, Palo Alto firewalls, web application firewalls, and network management tools.
• Experience with data center virtualization, Azure or AWS networking, and Cisco or comparable VoIP infrastructure.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and client service skills.
• Ability to work after hours or weekends for service-impacting changes or incidents and participate in an emergency on-call rotation.

Nice to have

• Technical certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, NSE4–6, or PCNSE.
