Commercial Contracts Manager (Semiconductors)

Location: Hybrid role based in the Edinburgh, UK office; must be within commuting distance or willing to relocate before starting.

What you will do

• Draft, review, negotiate, and advise on commercial and technology contracts and licenses.
• Support strategic supplier and services arrangements while managing contractual risk.
• Provide commercial input on contract-related matters and assist with transactional legal work.
• Develop and enhance the use of AI for contract review and management.
• Maintain and improve the in-house contract management system, including metrics and reporting.
• Advise on data protection, AI, and intellectual property licensing issues.

Requirements

• Excellent academic credentials and extensive experience as a commercial contracts paralegal or contracts manager, or prior experience as a contracts solicitor.
• Strong experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts.
• Experience using AI tools for contract review and analysis.
• Exposure to technology and IT contracts, SaaS, software licensing, IP licensing, and services and supplier contracts.
• Strong analytical, verbal, written communication, client-service, interpersonal, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to collaborate with employees across business units and multiple time zones in a dynamic environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with contracts involving personal-data processing and data protection law in licensing and services agreements.
• Experience creating AI agents or developing automated contract workflows.
• Familiarity with, or willingness to learn, basic electronics and semiconductor concepts.
