Legal Counsel, Commercial (SaaS)

Location: Hybrid role based in Waltham, Massachusetts; Lake Worth, Florida; or Chicago, Illinois, with three days per week onsite.

What you will do

• Draft, negotiate, and close commercial agreements across DPN, SaaS, supply chain, consulting, and foodservice verticals.
• Partner with sales, product, and operations as the day-to-day legal contact for assigned contract types and business units.
• Identify and mitigate legal risk while developing negotiation positions aligned with business objectives.
• Improve contract management processes through technology adoption, template standardization, and contract lifecycle management practices.
• Revise standard contract templates for distinct business-unit requirements under senior legal counsel direction.
• Monitor relevant regulations and develop capability in privacy, litigation support, and M&A matters.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in good standing in any U.S. jurisdiction.
• Two to four years of experience as a corporate, commercial, or transactional attorney, either in-house or at a law firm.
• Strong commercial contract drafting, negotiation, analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage high volumes and competing deadlines with sound judgment and discretion.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted legal tools and proficiency with Microsoft Office or related software.

Nice to have

• Experience with GPO, SaaS, procurement, or foodservice contracting.
• Experience using a contract lifecycle management platform.
• Exposure to M&A diligence, data privacy, or multi-entity environments.
