Risk and Analytics Special Projects Manager (Trading and Risk Technology)

Salary: $150,000–$250,000 per year, plus discretionary bonus

What you will do

• Own end-to-end planning, roadmaps, execution, milestones, dependencies, RAID management, and governance reporting across two transformation programs.
• Lead the cloud transition for trading and risk applications, including legacy database reduction, data-tiering, and application optimization.
• Manage performance and delivery risks in a hybrid operating model while systems remain in continuous production.
• Lead the replacement of the accounting book of record and integrate risk systems with new position and accounting services.
• Coordinate infrastructure, application engineering, operations technology, business teams, and external technology providers.
• Establish evidence-based instrumentation, manage program financials, and oversee cloud-commitment implications.

Requirements

• 12+ years leading complex technology transformation programs in financial services, ideally in trading, risk, or investment management.
• Experience combining cloud and infrastructure migration with application re-engineering under live production constraints.
• Hands-on experience with public-cloud migration at scale and hybrid-estate performance trade-offs.
• Strong knowledge of front-to-back trading, risk, or investment-accounting systems, including positions, P&L, and book-of-record integration.
• Ability to lead cross-functional delivery across organizational boundaries and influence teams without direct authority.
• Excellent senior-stakeholder communication skills and formal program or project management credentials such as PMP or SAFe/Agile.

Nice to have

• Experience with regulatory-driven transformation, large-scale data-store modernization, or migration.
• FRM or CFA qualification.
