Data Associate, Transaction Management (Investment Data)

Location: Newport Beach, California, USA

Base salary: $87,000–$93,000 per year, plus a discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Design and execute end-to-end reconciliations across legacy and target transaction management platforms.
• Define certification criteria and acceptance thresholds across asset classes, regions, and booking entities.
• Investigate transaction breaks, mismatches, lifecycle discrepancies, timing issues, and data quality failures.
• Develop controls, exception reports, and monitoring dashboards for migration and stabilization periods.
• Partner with Technology, Accounting, Operations, and transformation stakeholders to remediate data and workflow issues.
• Support UAT, parallel runs, migration rehearsals, escalation processes, and senior-stakeholder sign-offs.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in trade management, transaction processing, investment data reconciliation, or operational controls.
• Experience in asset management, investment banking, or prime brokerage environments.
• Strong analytical skills and hands-on transaction-level reconciliation experience across multiple systems and asset classes.
• Understanding of allocations, confirmations, settlements, amendments, resets, novations, and FX impacts throughout the trade lifecycle.
• Familiarity with migration certification, UAT, and parallel testing for trade or middle-office platforms.
• Proficiency with Python, SQL, and Excel, plus strong written communication for audit-ready documentation.
