New Product Introduction (NPI) Project Manager

What you will do

• Lead multiple new product introduction and product enhancement projects from concept through stable production.
• Build and maintain project plans covering milestones, dependencies, resources, deliverables, costs and risks.
• Coordinate engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, purchasing, finance, sales and product teams.
• Facilitate kick-offs, design reviews, Stage-Gate reviews, launch-readiness assessments and post-launch reviews.
• Coordinate prototype builds, pilot production, testing, validation, tooling, BOMs, routings, packaging, training and production ramp-up.
• Monitor launch performance and manage recovery plans, lessons learned and handover into normal production.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in project management, NPI, product development, manufacturing engineering or operations.
• Proven experience leading cross-functional projects from concept through production launch.
• Experience managing schedules, budgets, risks, resources, deliverables and stakeholder communication.
• Experience with a formal Stage-Gate or gated product development process.
• Background in engineering, manufacturing or engineered products, with a strong understanding of production launch activities.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, operations, project management, business or a related discipline.

Nice to have

• Experience with Planview Project Advantage or a comparable project portfolio management platform.
• Background in robotics, automation, tooling, machining, fabrication or discrete manufacturing.
• Experience with ERP, MES, PLM, PDM or other engineering and manufacturing systems.
• Knowledge of BOMs, routings, engineering drawings, specifications, change control and quality documentation.
• PMP certification or equivalent project management training.
