Lead Software Engineer, Backend (Go)

What you will do

• Design and operate scalable, maintainable, and reliable backend services and payment platform components.
• Translate product requirements into technical solutions and lead design discussions and architectural trade-offs.
• Maintain high standards for code quality, testing, performance, observability, and code reviews.
• Collaborate with product, business, mobile, web, data, and infrastructure teams on end-to-end user and system challenges.
• Improve service reliability through monitoring, incident response, root cause analysis, and proactive system health work.
• Coach engineers through technical guidance, design reviews, and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 6+ years of software engineering experience, including production backend development.
• Proficiency in Go or another programming language, with strong foundations in data structures, algorithms, concurrency, and distributed systems.
• Experience designing, building, and operating distributed backend systems at scale.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, Redis or similar caching systems, and asynchronous or event-driven architectures.
• Proficiency in communicating in English and availability to work from the Jakarta office.
