Software Engineer, Payments (Fintech): Building and operating backend systems for fiat and stablecoin payment rails, including a public API for deposits, payouts, swaps, and settlement, with an accent on reliability, security, and scalable financial infrastructure. Focus on designing RESTful microservices, supporting merchant integrations, monitoring production systems, and solving reliability challenges as transaction traffic grows.

What you will do
- Build and deliver backend features for fiat and stablecoin payment flows and the Public API supporting deposits, payouts, swaps, and settlement.
- Collaborate with product managers to define requirements and deliver the product roadmap.
- Write clean, tested, and maintainable code while applying engineering best practices.
- Improve system availability and reliability through monitoring, stress testing, and production maintenance as merchant traffic scales.
- Contribute to architecture decisions and design scalable, secure systems for financial transactions.
- Participate in code reviews, backlog grooming, sprint planning, merchant integrations, and L2 investigations.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of backend engineering experience with Ruby on Rails, Golang, or related backend technologies.
- Strong SQL skills and relational database design experience with MySQL or PostgreSQL.
- Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and system design for scale.
- Comfort with CI/CD concepts and Git-based version control.
- Good written and spoken English.
- Ability to work independently, communicate clearly, and take ownership of delivery and production reliability.
Nice to have
- Experience with financial systems, payments, or fintech infrastructure.
- Familiarity with crypto, stablecoins, or blockchain.
- Experience with Agile delivery.
- Frontend familiarity with React, TypeScript, or JavaScript.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted engineering workflows.
