Lead Backend Engineer (Golang/Python)

Location: Jakarta, Indonesia

What you will do

• Lead a software engineering team developing features and solutions aligned with business priorities across distributed teams.
• Own technical design, estimation, development, and delivery of high-complexity projects.
• Define engineering practices for testing, code review, coding conventions, monitoring, alerting, security, and performance.
• Measure team productivity and outcome quality, manage performance, and remove process barriers.
• Coach, hire, and develop engineers while building a strong engineering bench.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience developing, testing, and deploying large-scale applications.
• At least 2 years of experience leading a team of engineers.
• Extensive experience with general-purpose programming languages and willingness to work with Golang or Python.
• Proficiency in HTTP, web services, OAuth, RESTful APIs, data structures, algorithms, and computer science fundamentals.
• Strong data modeling experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with clean architecture, SOLID principles, event-driven architecture, message brokers such as SQS or Kafka, and cloud infrastructure including AWS or GCP.
