Senior Backend Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Jakarta, Indonesia; hybrid workplace

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, and deploy backend software solutions for products serving millions of investors.
• Deliver high-performance, low-latency services with complex requirements.
• Build and optimize fault-tolerant distributed systems for rapidly growing workloads.
• Collaborate with product and business leaders to provide technical solution guidance.
• Mentor engineers and contribute ideas to the startup engineering culture.
• Deploy services across hybrid cloud and on-premise environments and provide technical assistance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• At least 4 years of software development experience, preferably with distributed systems or full-stack architecture.
• Strong proficiency in one or more of Java, C, Go, or Python.
• Solid knowledge of Kafka, Redis, Cassandra, and MySQL; query tuning and optimization are advantageous.
• Experience deploying to cloud environments such as AWS or Azure and to on-premise infrastructure.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership, and remain self-motivated.
