Head of Legal & Compliance (AI)

What you will do

• Own compliance for the dialer and AI calling, including TCPA, state telemarketing statutes, consent, Do Not Call requirements, call recording, and AI-generated voice disclosures.
• Partner with Product and Engineering to implement consent and suppression controls directly in the platform.
• Lead the privacy program covering GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, US state privacy laws, DSARs, opt-outs, data broker registration, supplier diligence, lawful-basis assessments, DPIAs, and transfer impact assessments.
• Hold the DPO designation and establish the approach to AI governance as agentic features are developed.
• Draft and negotiate customer and vendor contracts, DPAs, and related commercial agreements while owning enterprise security and privacy reviews.
• Participate in roadmap planning, translate regulatory constraints into product requirements, and build the legal or compliance function from scratch.

Requirements

• 8+ years of combined law firm and in-house experience.
• Qualified to practise in the US.
• Hands-on experience with GDPR and CCPA/CPRA privacy programs.
• Experience advising Product and Engineering teams and participating in technical decisions.
• Experience building a legal or compliance function from scratch in an early-stage or high-growth environment.
• Fluent English required.

Nice to have

• TCPA, telephony, or dialer regulatory experience.
• Experience at a sales-tech, B2B data, or privacy-tech company.
• CIPP/E, CIPP/US, CIPM, or AIGP certification.
• Experience in Business Analytics, including academic experience.
