Test Technician

Location: Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates; onsite at the Abu Dhabi headquarters and engine test facility, with frequent international travel including extended periods at the Powertech Italy facility.

What you will do

• Assemble, disassemble, and rebuild P-series engines and test articles according to drawings and procedures.
• Build and wire test rigs, install sensors and harnesses, and prepare fuel and fluid systems.
• Support data-acquisition setup, sensor calibration, connection checks, and test-run operation under engineering direction.
• Monitor test parameters, record observations, and report anomalies promptly.
• Maintain test cells, rigs, tooling, and engines while troubleshooting basic mechanical and electrical faults.
• Complete build, test, and maintenance records and maintain a clean, safe, orderly workshop.

Requirements

• Technical or vocational qualification in mechanical, automotive, or aeronautical engineering, or a completed apprenticeship.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience with engines or mechanical assembly in automotive, motorsport, aviation, or marine environments.
• Competence with hand and power tools, measuring equipment, engineering drawings, and procedures.
• Practical, careful, methodical, reliable, and safety-conscious approach.
• Willingness to travel internationally and work flexible hours during test campaigns.

Nice to have

• Experience with 2-stroke or EFI engines, test cells, or dynamometers.
• Motorsport or race-engine build experience.
• Basic electrical wiring, instrumentation, sensor fitting, or UAV/aerospace experience.
