Range Services Technician (Defence)

Location: Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates; on-site work at Abu Al Abyad Test Range

What you will do

• Prepare test sites with equipment, barriers, targets, and supporting infrastructure.
• Deploy, operate, inspect, and maintain testing equipment, facilities, vehicles, and support systems.
• Provide field services for temporary installations, targetry, mechanical and electrical works, power, water, air conditioning, and hygiene facilities.
• Support engineers, clients, Range Conducting Officers, subject matter experts, contractors, and internal teams during test activities.
• Record operational data, observations, maintenance information, technical reports, and operational summaries.
• Manage inventories of equipment, tools, consumables, and spare parts, including procurement and replacement.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in technical, field services, testing, maintenance, or operational support.
• Associate Degree or technical qualification in Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Valid UAE driving licence required.
• Experience operating and maintaining technical equipment, machinery, or support systems, with mechanical and electrical repair capability.
• Knowledge of safety regulations, risk assessment processes, and operational procedures.
• Physical fitness, attention to detail, teamwork, and the ability to work in challenging outdoor environments and operate multiple vehicle types.

Nice to have

• Arabic language skills.
• Certifications in safety, testing, maintenance, or operational procedures.
• Experience operating plant, machinery, or heavy equipment.
• Knowledge of land, sea, and air defence equipment and military operations.
• Experience in test range, field services, military, defence, engineering, or industrial operations.
