Product Director - Guarantees (Banking)

What you will do

• Define and deliver the Guarantees product strategy, roadmap, and annual business plan using market data, client insight, and management information.
• Lead go-to-market strategy, identify growth opportunities, and improve client access to Guarantees products.
• Own the product portfolio and pricing strategy, balancing proposition quality, client outcomes, income, profit, growth, and balance-sheet objectives.
• Build product governance documentation, control frameworks, process maps, and evidence of regulatory compliance.
• Oversee operational, credit, fraud, financial crime, conduct, regulatory, and compliance risks, including credit policy management.
• Sponsor change initiatives, develop digital solutions with technology partners, represent the Group externally, and lead and develop the product team.

Requirements

• Strong understanding and practical experience of Guarantees products; Documentary Trade experience is desirable.
• Experience creating and managing strategic plans, product roadmaps, and commercial plans in a complex banking environment.
• Strong knowledge of commercial banking clients, market dynamics, industry trends, product development, pricing, and proposition design.
• Strong risk, compliance, regulatory, product governance, control, and credit policy management capabilities.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, organisational, report-writing, and Microsoft application skills.
• Experience influencing senior stakeholders, managing broad networks, leading change, and developing inclusive, high-performing teams.
