Associate Tech Lead – Engineering Commodity (AI/Data Analytics)

Location: Bangalore, Karnataka, India. Monday to Thursday onsite with colleagues; Friday offers flexibility to choose the work location.

What you will do

• Support and maintain Engineering Commodity Classification in Teamcenter.
• Translate business and engineering requirements into technical solutions and integrate classification systems with enterprise, engineering, data, and reporting platforms.
• Apply design and product engineering knowledge to component structures, product configurations, BOM attributes, engineering standards, and classification logic.
• Develop data extraction, transformation, reporting, dashboards, data models, pipelines, and analytical solutions.
• Support AI and automation use cases such as intelligent classification, predictive analysis, recommendation models, and process optimization.
• Contribute to testing, deployment, release coordination, application monitoring, data-quality management, documentation, and production issue resolution.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, product engineering, data science, or a related field.
• Experience with Teamcenter systems support, analytics, and technical leadership.
• Knowledge of enterprise application integration and APIs, with an understanding of data analytics, reporting, dashboarding, and data interpretation.
• Exposure to artificial intelligence and machine learning applications in business or engineering processes.
• Strong design or product engineering knowledge, including HVAC components, product structures, specifications, attributes, BOM structures, and component taxonomy.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, troubleshooting, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with engineering, classification, product data, supply chain, or commodity processes in PLM and ERP systems.
• Familiarity with databases, SQL, data pipelines, business intelligence tools, or reporting platforms.
• Ability to mentor junior team members and support capability building.
• 7–9 years of experience in product engineering, design engineering, component classification, or product lifecycle management.
