Engineering Change (EC) Engineer - Mechanical

Location: ITPL, Bangalore, India; onsite. Travel required up to 10% of the time. Relocation eligible.

What you will do

• Manage Engineering Change Requests and Engineering Change Orders from the initial problem statement through approval, implementation, and execution.
• Coordinate product improvements and new product releases across design engineering, operations, manufacturing, suppliers, and other engineering functions.
• Review ECO completeness, bill of materials structure, customer and organizational impact, and product and process effects.
• Analyze product structures and where-used searches, identify affected kits and assemblies, and route changes through the appropriate Change Implementation Board and Change Control Board.
• Estimate manufacturing costs, determine time standards, recommend tooling and process requirements, and apply DFx, lean, and continuous improvement principles.
• Investigate assembly and test issues, perform root-cause and failure analysis, coordinate corrective actions, and support ECO process improvements and KPI development.

Requirements

• B.E. or B.Tech in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering.
• 5–8 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of ECR/ECO processes, roles, responsibilities, forms, instructions, and policies.
• Working knowledge of PLM and PDM systems, including Teamcenter Engineering, Windchill, and SAP.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and UGNX is required.
• Experience with manufacturing methods, materials, supplier manufacturing processes, cross-functional collaboration, negotiation, presentation, problem solving, and conflict resolution.
