Senior Software Engineer (Semiconductor)

Location: Rehovot, Israel. Full-time onsite role; travel up to 10% of the time. Relocation is not eligible.

hirify.global develops materials science, engineering, metrology, and process control solutions for semiconductor manufacturing. The Israel-based PDC group develops machine learning and computer vision-based inspection products for wafer fabrication.

What you will do

• Design and develop software for complex product features and distributed metrology systems.
• Own significant features and product domains from requirements and design through implementation, validation, deployment, and improvement.
• Collaborate with Product Management, software architects, system engineering, algorithms, image processing, automation, QA, and other R&D teams.
• Build scalable, maintainable, reliable, and supportable software using modern development practices.
• Drive quality through testing, code reviews, automation, CI/CD, release workflows, and continuous improvement.
• Use and help evolve AI-assisted software development tools and methodologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent field.
• 6+ years of backend or server-side software development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java or another object-oriented programming language and software design principles.
• Experience developing complex software systems and owning functional areas through production delivery.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, software design, testing, automation, source control, build, CI/CD, and release workflow skills.
• Ability to work independently in a collaborative multidisciplinary environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Linux, distributed systems, event-driven architectures, or workflow orchestration.
• Experience with Temporal, Redis, RabbitMQ, Apache Flink, web applications, or user interfaces.
• Experience using AI-powered development tools and assistants in daily engineering work.
• Knowledge of the semiconductor industry and experience with multidisciplinary product teams.
