Compiler Engineer (Quantum Computing)

Location: Tel Aviv-Yafo, Israel; remote workplace

Develops hybrid hardware and software control systems for quantum computers, scaling from individual qubits to large quantum processor arrays.

What you will do

• Develop a compiler that translates a proprietary quantum language to a proprietary processor.
• Design compiler optimizations for real-time applications, hybrid quantum/classical algorithms, and parallel processing.
• Test, debug, and profile compiler outputs for performance and correctness.
• Optimize the use of limited hardware resources to scale quantum computing systems and improve algorithm performance.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, and architecture teams on software-hardware integration.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of hands-on programming experience.
• BSc in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related scientific field.
• Experience with computer architecture, assembly language, and low-level programming concepts.
• Experience working in a multidisciplinary environment.
• Ability to solve complex technical problems, particularly in hardware-oriented environments.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with MLIR and LLVM.
• Advanced academic degree.
