Backend Team Lead (C++)

Location: Tel-Aviv, Israel; onsite

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of backend developers.
• Own backend delivery from system design through production deployment.
• Contribute hands-on to high-performance C++ development for real-time, mission-critical systems.
• Collaborate with software and hardware teams to deliver integrated robotics solutions.
• Ensure production performance, reliability, and efficient resource utilization.
• Conduct code and design reviews, plan sprints, prioritize work, and align the technical roadmap.

Requirements

• 7+ years of hands-on software development experience with strong C++ expertise.
• Proven experience leading engineers in a technical team.
• Strong system design and software architecture experience.
• Deep knowledge of OOP, memory management, multithreading, and concurrency.
• Experience developing complex real-time software and working in Linux environments.
• Experience with Git-based workflows, modern development tools, and end-to-end technical ownership.

Nice to have

• Experience with ROS2 and robotics software stacks.
• Familiarity with DDS-based communication protocols.
• Background in robotics, autonomous systems, or real-time distributed systems.
• Experience with Docker and containerized deployments.
• Experience scaling teams or leading multidisciplinary projects.
