Data Analytics Engineer (Supply Data Solutions)

What you will do

• Take ownership of supply data and create reliable, analysis-ready datasets.
• Identify shared data needs across forecasting, optimisation, and reporting, then build reusable mart tables.
• Simplify data transformations so downstream teams can use consistent business logic.
• Build, monitor, and maintain Python and GCP data pipelines.
• Document schemas, lineage, and data contracts while managing IAM roles, access boundaries, costs, performance, and data validity.
• Mentor junior analysts and improve SQL capabilities across the Supply Unit.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of professional data engineering experience, including building governed analytics layers from operational data.
• Strong Python skills for ETL and orchestration, with hands-on experience in GCP, BigQuery, Git, and CI/CD.
• Advanced SQL skills, including complex CTEs, window functions, and query optimisation.
• Ability to analyse complex systems and create structured improvement plans.
• Experience with platform monitoring, governance, reliability, and data quality validation.
• Confident cross-functional collaboration with source teams, downstream consumers, data scientists, analysts, and supply stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with dbt or Dagster.
• Familiarity with AWS Batch, Lambda, and Step Functions.
• Background in supply chain or logistics.
• Exposure to data cataloguing and data observability platforms.
