Data Engineer (Azure/Databricks): Building and enhancing scalable data pipelines and architectures for digital healthcare Data & AI initiatives with an accent on cloud-native processing, big data technologies, and data quality. Focus on transforming large datasets, improving performance and scalability, and applying CI/CD practices to data projects.
Location: Cologne, Germany; remote work possible. Up to 20 work-from-home days per year may be arranged anywhere in the EU.

What you will do
- Build and enhance scalable data pipelines and support the evolution of the data architecture.
- Process and transform large datasets using Azure, Databricks, and other cloud-native technologies.
- Collaborate with different teams to understand data needs and deliver impactful data solutions.
- Apply and learn CI/CD practices to improve data workflows and deployments.
- Improve performance, scalability, and data quality across data projects.
Requirements
- Approximately 2+ years of experience in data engineering, software development, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with Azure or a similar cloud platform and big data tools such as Spark or Databricks.
- Solid SQL knowledge and proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Python, Scala, or Java.
- Interest in collaborative environments and developing skills in modern data technologies.
