Maintenance Technician Rotating Night Shift (Biotech Manufacturing)

Location: West Greenwich, Rhode Island, United States; onsite at the hirify.global Rhode Island manufacturing site. The role follows a rotating 12-hour schedule from 7 PM to 7 AM, with Monday–Friday administrative hours of approximately 8 AM to 5 PM during the 2–6 week onboarding period.

What you will do

• Perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on manufacturing and laboratory equipment and systems.
• Troubleshoot equipment problems, diagnose issues, and escalate complex failures when needed.
• Complete maintenance work orders accurately in the computerized maintenance management system.
• Follow site procedures, safety standards, and compliance requirements in a regulated manufacturing environment.
• Communicate equipment status and maintenance activities with operators and maintenance colleagues.
• Identify process improvements and participate in training and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED plus one year of utility operations, maintenance, or military experience, or an associate degree.
• Ability to work rotating 12-hour night shifts, including overtime, weekends, holidays, and Sundays when required.
• Knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs and equipment documentation.
• Ability to perform maintenance work with guidance from senior technicians or supervisors and collaborate effectively with a team.
• Work must be performed onsite at the West Greenwich, Rhode Island manufacturing site.

Nice to have

• Three or more years of combined education, training, or experience in mechanical maintenance.
• Exposure to sanitary processing equipment and systems.
• Experience in cGMP manufacturing or another regulated environment.
• Experience documenting maintenance work orders in a CMMS such as Maximo.
