Manufacturing Technician III - Mechanic (Nights)

Location: USA - OH - West Chester; onsite manufacturing floor role

Salary: $24.00–$38.00 per hour

What you will do

• Operate, monitor, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain packaging equipment, including pickers, sorters, labelers, packers, checkweighers, printers, inspection equipment, palletizers, stretch-wrappers, and conveyors.
• Perform equipment setup, changeovers, recipe selection and configuration, startup, preventive maintenance, and first-line technical support.
• Execute packaging and production tasks, including batch execution, material handling, rework, cleaning, housekeeping, and line clearance.
• Complete batch records, GMP documentation, and CMMS entries while monitoring material quality and escalating issues.
• Support 5S, OEE tracking, Level 0 problem-solving, equipment qualification, process validation, and other continuous improvement activities.
• Train and evaluate packaging technicians on assigned equipment and process tasks.

Requirements

• Experience in a regulated production environment with responsibility for equipment maintenance and performance.
• Minimum three years of relevant experience preferred, with experience operating or maintaining automated equipment.
• Strong mechanical and electronic knowledge, including mechanics, hydraulics, and electronic systems.
• Ability to interpret technical documents and follow SOPs, cGMPs, safety, quality, and LOTO procedures.
• Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to lift and handle equipment change parts, tooling, and maintenance materials; overtime may be required.

Nice to have

• High school, vocational school, or equivalent education.
• Associate degree in engineering or mechanical trade school training.
• Knowledge of CMMS platforms such as SAP.
• Experience with OEE, TPM, Lean, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
