Senior PCBA Design Engineer (Robotics)

What you will do

• Own schematic capture and PCB layout for mixed-signal, power, and high-speed digital boards in Altium Designer.
• Define layer stacks, materials, and board structures to meet electrical, thermal, manufacturing, and cost requirements.
• Design power delivery networks and high-current layouts for DC/DC converters, switching circuits, and bus or rail distribution.
• Implement controlled-impedance routing, differential pairs, length matching, and via strategies for high-speed interfaces such as PCIe, DDR, USB, Ethernet, LVDS, and SerDes.
• Apply DFM/DFA and EMC/EMI practices while collaborating with electrical, mechanical, thermal, manufacturing, fabrication, and contract manufacturing teams.
• Produce manufacturing documentation, manage component libraries and design rules, support product releases, and mentor junior and mid-level designers.

Requirements

• Expert-level proficiency in Altium Designer, including schematic capture, PCB layout, rule-driven design, layer-stack management, and library administration.
• At least 5 years of experience in PCB schematic capture and layout design.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on experience with power electronics, high-speed digital layout, signal integrity, power integrity, stack-up design, and impedance-controlled routing.
• Knowledge of DFM/DFA, EMC/EMI mitigation, IPC standards, and collaboration with PCB fabricators and contract manufacturers.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, communicate design tradeoffs, and mentor other designers.

Nice to have

• Experience with signal or power integrity simulation and analysis.
• IPC CID or CID+ certification.
• Experience with flex, rigid-flex, or HDI/microvia design.
