PCB Layout Engineer (Altium)

Salary: $140,000–$180,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Design and lay out through-hole, SMT, and mixed-signal technology boards.
• Lay out high-speed, high-voltage, and high-power PCBs.
• Collaborate with electrical and mechanical engineers on component placement and board-level design decisions.
• Generate manufacturing outputs, including Gerber files, bills of materials, stack-ups, and assembly documentation.
• Create and maintain PCB libraries, including footprints and schematic symbols.
• Carry board designs from concept through qualified, high-volume production.

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant circuit board design experience.
• Proficiency in Altium Designer.
• Experience laying out power supplies and switching regulators.
• Strong knowledge of PCB materials and board stack-up development.
• Knowledge of IPC specifications and design for fabrication and assembly manufacturability.
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally on hardware, signal integrity, power integrity, mechanical, thermal, and manufacturing requirements.
