Mental Health Coordinator I / Lead Mental Health Specialist

Location: St Cloud, MN, USA

Salary: Up to $23 per hour

Provides person-centered support services for people living with intellectual or developmental disabilities, complex medical needs, and behavioral or mental health challenges.

What you will do

• Coordinate individual finances, activities, behavioral supports, healthcare, nutrition, family involvement, education or vocational services, and household management.
• Support consistent programming, staff communication, and quality of care across residential services.
• Create and manage staff schedules to ensure appropriate coverage.
• Implement behavior support, treatment, functional assessment, and person-centered plans.
• Provide direct hands-on care, including personal care, daily living support, meal preparation, medication support, appointments, and community activities.
• Use de-escalation, crisis intervention, and positive behavior support strategies while maintaining accurate electronic documentation.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance.
• Basic computer skills.
• At least two years of experience delivering behavioral health services.
• At least one year of lead experience in residential services or a two-year degree in a related field.
• Ability to support individuals with significant mental health symptoms, aggression, chemical dependence, brain injury, and cognitive impairments; ability to lift up to 50 lbs and remain physically active for extended periods.
