Software Developer IV (Golang & Kubernetes) (AI Platform): Building RackAI's scalable backend services, Kubernetes-native applications, APIs, and automation frameworks with an accent on cloud-native architecture, reliability, security, and applied AI integration. Focus on designing operators and controllers, deploying AI workloads on GPU infrastructure, optimizing model inference, and embedding AI-assisted engineering practices across the development lifecycle.
Location: India — work from home, remote

What you will do
- Architect and develop scalable backend services in Go for the RackAI platform.
- Build Kubernetes-native operators, controllers, platform services, APIs, and automation frameworks.
- Design Kubernetes deployments and automate provisioning, deployment, scaling, and lifecycle management across multiple environments.
- Establish standards for AI-assisted engineering, including responsible use of coding assistants, prompt engineering, and agentic workflows.
- Lead architectural reviews, technical decisions, coding standards, and platform evolution across multiple engineering teams.
- Mentor Software Developers I–III and collaborate with Product, Architecture, Data Science, SRE, and Security.
Requirements
- Expert-level Go development and deep Kubernetes expertise across architecture, operations, and application development.
- At least nine years of software development experience, including at least five years writing production Go.
- Experience building Kubernetes operators or controllers with controller-runtime or Kubebuilder.
- Strong knowledge of distributed systems, microservices, RESTful APIs, event-driven systems, Docker, CI/CD, DevOps, Git workflows, and secure coding.
- Hands-on experience using AI coding assistants such as Claude Code, Kiro, Codex, or GitHub Copilot.
- Practical knowledge of generative AI, LLMs, model serving and inference optimization, RAG, vector databases, embeddings, fine-tuning, and production AI integrations.
Nice to have
- Experience building AI/ML platforms or AI-enabled enterprise products.
- Advanced CRD and operator-pattern experience.
- AWS experience; Azure or Google Cloud knowledge is also useful.
- Experience with service mesh, platform engineering, observability stacks, or open-source contributions.
