Senior BIM/VDC Project Manager (BIM/VDC)

Location: Remote, based in Arlington, Virginia, United States; some travel expected.

Base salary: $125,000–$160,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications; performance-based bonus tied to business development outcomes.

Established reality capture and BIM/VDC firm serving AEC organizations and the U.S. Department of Defense through surveying, laser scanning, Scan to BIM, and BIM/VDC services.

What you will do

• Lead BIM/VDC scope, schedules, budgets, staffing, execution, BIM Execution Plans, coordination strategies, and deliverable schedules from pursuit and preconstruction through construction and closeout.
• Act as the primary BIM/VDC contact for owners, design teams, contractors, trade partners, and internal staff.
• Establish QA/QC protocols, manage clash detection, constructability reviews, coordination meetings, issue resolution, and risk mitigation.
• Build client and industry relationships, support go/no-go decisions, capture planning, proposals, shortlist presentations, and pursuit strategies.
• Develop BIM/VDC standards, templates, workflows, software practices, automation, dashboards, and emerging workflows including 4D scheduling, digital twins, reality capture, and prefabrication.
• Supervise, mentor, and provide technical guidance to BIM/VDC coordinators, specialists, modelers, project managers, discipline leads, and field teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; equivalent experience is welcomed.
• 8+ years of experience in BIM, VDC, construction technology, or digital project delivery, including 3+ years leading BIM/VDC on complex AEC projects.
• Experience supporting client relationships, pursuits, proposals, or presentations.
• Advanced proficiency with Revit, Navisworks, Autodesk Forma, and similar platforms.
• Experience developing BIM Execution Plans, clash detection workflows, and model standards.
• Strong communication, facilitation, and presentation skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience in healthcare, commercial, higher education, infrastructure, or mission-critical sectors.
• Established client or industry network in the Eastern U.S. AEC market.
• Experience with 4D/5D integration, digital twins, laser scanning, reality capture, or prefabrication workflows.
• Familiarity with Power BI, automation, scripting, or model-based analytics.
• Experience with Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
• CM-BIM, PMP, DBIA, LEED AP, or Autodesk certification.
