Senior BIM/VDC Project Manager

Location: Remote, Arlington, Virginia, United States, with some travel expected

Salary: $125,000–$160,000 base salary per year, plus a performance-based bonus.

What you will do

• Lead BIM/VDC execution from pursuits and preconstruction through construction and closeout, aligning scope, schedules, budgets, staffing, and deliverables.
• Develop BIM Execution Plans, model coordination strategies, QA/QC protocols, model standards, and coordination milestones.
• Advise owners, design teams, contractors, trade partners, and internal staff as the primary BIM/VDC point of contact.
• Guide multidisciplinary coordination meetings, clash detection, constructability reviews, issue resolution, and risk mitigation.
• Support client relationships, proposals, shortlist presentations, pursuit strategies, consultant coordination, and business development.
• Lead process improvement, technology evaluation, team training, and mentorship across BIM/VDC projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; equivalent experience is considered.
• 8+ years of experience in BIM, VDC, construction technology, or digital project delivery, including 3+ years leading BIM/VDC on complex AEC projects.
• Advanced proficiency with Revit, Navisworks, Autodesk Forma, and comparable platforms.
• Experience developing BIM Execution Plans, clash detection workflows, and model standards.
• Experience supporting client relationships, pursuits, proposals, or presentations.
• Strong communication, facilitation, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in healthcare, commercial, higher education, infrastructure, or mission-critical sectors.
• Client or industry network in the Eastern U.S. AEC market.
• Experience with 4D/5D integration, digital twins, laser scanning, reality capture, prefabrication, Power BI, automation, scripting, or model-based analytics.
• Experience with Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
• CM-BIM, PMP, DBIA, LEED AP, or Autodesk certification.
