Engineering - BIM Technician III (Revit)

Location: Remote, with the role limited to candidates legally authorized to work in the United States; occasional travel of 10–15% may be required.

Salary: $79,800–$119,700 in Las Vegas; $83,600–$125,400 in Denver and Philadelphia; $88,160–$132,240 in Los Angeles; $92,720–$139,080 in New York.

What you will do

• Create, maintain, review, and coordinate complex 3D BIM models and engineering drawings for mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, refrigeration, technology, and electrical systems.
• Create and implement BIM Execution Plans, project workflows, documentation, standards, model setup, view setup, and sheet setup.
• Generate clash reports, assess model health and compliance, calculate quantities, perform engineering computations, and resolve coordination issues with project teams.
• Create advanced Revit families and schedules, develop scripts and automation tools, and evaluate software that improves BIM workflows.
• Communicate with clients, architects, designers, and project teams; lead BIM coordination meetings and support project delivery.
• Support limited project management, business development, client events, user training, and continuous improvement of BIM practices.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree in a relevant BIM field plus 6 years of relevant progressive experience, or 8 years of progressive experience without a degree, using BIM to produce mechanical and electrical drawings in HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, or electrical fields required. A BIM certificate from an accredited institution may count toward 1 year of experience.
• Advanced proficiency in Revit, Dynamo, IMAGINiT Clarity, and Autodesk Construction Cloud/BIM 360 required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office required.
• Intermediate knowledge of engineering design, the A&E industry, codes, design guides, standards, BIM technology, interoperability of BIM platforms, computing technologies, and industry-specific standards required.
• Proven ability to understand and troubleshoot BIM-related software; strong technical aptitude and ability to learn and use varied systems and processes.
• Ability to train others, communicate clearly in writing and verbally with designers at all levels, influence decisions, and solve complex problems using reasoning and judgment.
• Ability to collaborate, lead less experienced BIM Technicians, work independently, prioritize multiple tasks, adapt to changing priorities, receive feedback, take initiative, and support others.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English; prolonged computer-based desk work is required.

Nice to have

• Intermediate proficiency in AutoCAD and Navisworks.
• Advanced proficiency in Recap.
• Knowledge applicable to a range of engineering practices, project types, or programs.
