VDC Engineer (BIM)

Location: Hybrid; open to candidates in Chicago, New York City, and Denver, with 1–2 days per week in a local office. US work authorization is required.

Salary: $75,000–$95,000 per year, plus eligibility for bonuses.

What you will do

• Coordinate and manage multidisciplinary architectural, structural, and MEP BIM models for complex projects using Revit, Navisworks, and Civil3D.
• Lead clash detection, facilitate resolution discussions, and ensure models are constructible, properly sequenced, and aligned with project milestones.
• Serve as a primary client contact for BIM and VDC coordination, present digital deliverables, and translate technical coordination into business-relevant insights.
• Identify and implement workflow standardization, automation, enhanced reporting, and AI-supported coordination improvements.
• Align internal global delivery teams, clients, designers, and contractors while managing multiple projects and communicating risks and next steps.
• Contribute to knowledge sharing, training initiatives, and the development of BIM and VDC capabilities.

Requirements

• Strong BIM/VDC expertise and understanding of real-world construction systems.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary architectural, structural, and MEP models using Revit, Navisworks, and Civil3D.
• Ability to lead clash detection and coordination discussions and assess model constructability and sequencing.
• Clear communication skills and confidence presenting to clients and leading coordination discussions.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects, ambiguity, and shifting priorities.
• Proactive initiative, collaborative teamwork, and high standards of technical excellence.
• Ability to work in a local office 1–2 days per week in Chicago, New York City, or Denver, with US work authorization.
