What you will do

• Lead engineering for the Cloud Observability group, managing ~40 engineers through a layer of Engineering Managers.
• Collaborate with product leadership to define, iterate on, and author the strategic roadmap.
• Drive the integration of AI into engineering workflows, tooling, and product features as a core practice.
• Coordinate complex cross-team dependencies across Agent, Telemetry, and Infrastructure Monitoring teams.
• Mentor Engineering Managers toward Director readiness and recruit top technical talent in NYC, Boston, and Paris.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a manager-of-managers (directly managing Engineering Managers).
• Deep expertise in operating large-scale cloud systems with one or more major providers (AWS, GCP, Azure, OCI).
• Strong understanding of cloud economics and the balance between performance and cost in cloud environments.
• Experience with high-throughput, data-intensive backend systems such as ingestion pipelines or time-series data.
• Must be based in New York, Boston, or Paris.
• Fluent English proficiency for professional collaboration in a cross-Atlantic organization.
