RF Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Los Angeles, United States; in-person collaboration at the Playa Vista office

Salary: $140,000–$180,000 per year, plus equity

What you will do

• Design and develop RF, digital, and optical satellite communications systems and spacecraft architectures.
• Define and verify communication system requirements, interfaces, and subcomponent requirements.
• Perform link budgeting, signal distortion, capacity, reliability, and performance analyses and simulations.
• Develop MATLAB-based analysis tools and object-oriented software platforms.
• Develop and verify system algorithms against functional and performance requirements.
• Procure, integrate, review, and verify hardware while collaborating with engineers and payload customers.

Requirements

• U.S. Person status is required to access export-controlled data.
• 3–6 years of spacecraft RF and telemetry communications experience across multiple spacecraft programs.
• B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering; an M.S. degree is preferred.
• Extensive experience in spacecraft design, launch, operation, and all phases of the development lifecycle.
• Experience with integrated software/hardware verification and testing.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working effectively across an organization.
