Senior Electrical Engineer

Location: Onsite in commuting distance of Methuen and Wilmington, Massachusetts. Approximately 5% annual travel may be required. Relocation benefits are not available.

Salary: $101,675–$169,475 per year. Eligible for a discretionary annual bonus.

What you will do

• Support the Remote Plasma Source, Ozone, IR Spectroscopy, and Microwave product lines within the Plasma Solutions business unit.
• Perform system- and board-level testing to validate product designs against specifications.
• Develop, document, and execute design verification test plans.
• Review and implement electronics designs, concepts, and engineering solutions with cross-functional technical teams.
• Troubleshoot products in volume manufacturing and perform failure analysis on returned units.
• Create and review Engineering Change Orders and participate in design reviews and problem-solving activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering and/or product engineering.
• Ability to independently test and debug circuits using oscilloscopes, high-voltage probes, power meters, and similar tools.
• Demonstrated experience creating and executing design verification test plans.
• Must work onsite within commuting distance of Methuen or Wilmington, Massachusetts.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States; work visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• System- and board-level failure analysis experience.
• Experience with resonant tank circuits, RF inverters, and DC/DC converters.
• Experience with thermal detectors, MCT sensors, thermoelectric coolers, IR filters, interferometers, optics, and mirrors used in NDIR and FTIR spectroscopy.
• Understanding of vacuum infrastructure, including MFCs, pressure controllers, and vacuum pumps.
• Experience designing and testing complex hardware and embedded software systems.
