Medium Voltage Electrician (Construction)

Location: Memphis, Tennessee and Southaven, Mississippi; extensive travel to active construction sites, often 80–100%

What you will do

• Install, terminate, test, and commission electrical systems including duct banks, conduits, cables, switchgear, transformers, generators, UPS systems, PDUs, busways, and grounding.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair low- and medium-voltage power distribution systems across multiple active sites.
• Perform point-to-point checks, functional testing, megger testing, and system energization.
• Read electrical drawings, schematics, one-line diagrams, blueprints, and specifications.
• Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and operations teams to deliver construction projects safely and on schedule.
• Maintain as-builts, test records, and other electrical documentation while providing field feedback during constructibility reviews.

Requirements

• 2+ years of hands-on industrial, commercial, or mission-critical electrical experience.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems up to 480V; medium- and high-voltage experience is valuable.
• Proficiency with multimeters, meggers, power quality analyzers, and other electrical test equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints and electrical diagrams.
• Current OSHA 10/30 training and a strong safety mindset, including compliance with NEC, NFPA 70E, OSHA, LOTO, and arc-flash protocols.
• Ability to travel extensively, often 80–100%, work flexible hours including nights and weekends, lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and work in industrial environments with PPE.

Nice to have

• Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent.
• Data-center or hyperscale power infrastructure experience, including redundant UPS, generators, and busway systems.
• Experience with large-scale, multi-site construction projects requiring frequent travel.
• NETA certification, NICET, or equivalent.
• Knowledge of PLCs, controls, SCADA, or variable frequency drives.
