Senior Electrical Engineer (Mission-Critical Facilities): Designing and implementing medium- and low-voltage electrical systems for data centers, advanced manufacturing plants, and other high-reliability facilities with an accent on power distribution, standby generation, UPS systems, grounding, and redundancy. Focus on performing power system studies, cable ampacity and duct bank thermal modeling, integrating systems across disciplines, and supporting construction execution.

What you will do
- Lead the design of medium-voltage systems up to 35 kV and low-voltage distribution for data centers and other high-availability facilities.
- Design utility interfaces, substations, switchgear, transformers, standby generator plants, UPS systems, grounding, and redundancy topologies.
- Perform short-circuit, protective-device coordination, arc-flash, cable ampacity, and Neher-McGrath duct-bank thermal studies.
- Coordinate electrical systems with architectural, mechanical, and structural disciplines in a design-build environment.
- Manage client relationships, present technical solutions, provide field support, and resolve construction and technical challenges.
- Mentor junior engineers and improve design standards and best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
- 8+ years of electrical engineering experience, including at least 3 years on mission-critical or data center projects.
- Experience with medium- and low-voltage distribution, utility coordination, generator plants, switchgear, protective-device coordination, and cable ampacity analysis.
- Experience with SKM Power*Tools, ETAP, or EasyPower, plus AmpCalc or CYMCAP for cable and duct-bank analysis.
- Knowledge of NEC, IEEE, NFPA 70E, and other relevant codes and standards.
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Nice to have
- Professional Engineer license and ability to obtain licenses in multiple states.
- Experience in a design-build or integrated project delivery environment.
