What you will do
- Lead electrical design for mission-critical facilities, ensuring compliance with industry standards, codes, and client requirements.
- Develop power distribution, grounding, UPS, emergency power, and redundancy strategies for data centers and high-availability environments.
- Perform short-circuit, coordination, and arc flash studies to improve system reliability and safety.
- Coordinate electrical systems with architectural, mechanical, and structural disciplines in a design-build environment.
- Support construction teams in the field, resolve technical challenges, and manage client relationships.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to design standards, best practices, and emerging mission-critical technologies.
Requirements
- BS degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
- 10+ years of Electrical Engineering experience, including at least 3 years on mission-critical projects such as data centers or high-tech manufacturing facilities.
- PE License required for sealing engineering documents, with the ability to attain licenses in multiple states.
- Expertise in power system design, redundancy planning, and energy-efficiency strategies for high-reliability facilities.
- Proficiency with SKM Power*Tools, ETAP, or EasyPower, plus strong knowledge of NEC, IEEE, NFPA 70E, and related codes and standards.
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills; design-build or integrated project delivery experience is a plus.
