Procurement Specialist (Fintech)

Location: Lagos, Nigeria, with nationwide oversight across Nigerian cities. The role supports branch rollouts in locations including Lagos, Benin, and Gombe. The position is described within a fully remote work culture.

What you will do

• Lead real estate searches, site evaluations, property acquisitions, commercial lease negotiations, and due diligence for branch and office expansion.
• Develop centralized procurement strategies and pre-qualified vendor networks for construction, civil works, installations, supplies, and branch fit-outs.
• Standardize pricing and supply chains for branding, partitioning, facade, signage, security, power, cooling, and other recurring project requirements.
• Review technical drawings and specifications with architects, quantity surveyors, facilities teams, legal counsel, and external consultants while identifying value-engineering opportunities.
• Manage tenders, RFPs, contract awards, vendor onboarding, compliance checks, SLAs, performance bonds, payment guarantees, and retention terms.
• Coordinate FF&E logistics and facility handovers, ensuring critical assets are delivered with warranties and operating manuals.

Requirements

• 4–7 years of progressive experience in procurement and strategic sourcing, including capital projects, corporate real estate, interior fit-outs, or commercial construction.
• Experience with commercial property searches, site selection, corporate acquisitions, refurbishment projects, and complex lease negotiations.
• Procurement experience in a commercial bank, high-growth fintech, or tier-1 construction or project management firm in Nigeria.
• Knowledge of Nigerian regional supply chains, logistics constraints, and local market dynamics.
• Ability to interpret and audit Bills of Quantities across civil, architectural, structural, real estate, and MEP trades, with knowledge of construction and lease contracts.
• Proficiency with e-procurement, ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite, and project management tools.

Nice to have

• Qualifications in procurement, supply chain management, estate management, business administration, or a related field.
• Professional membership or certification from CIPS, CIPSMN, NIESV, or a similar recognized body.
