VP, Strategic Sourcing

Location: Remote; travel 20%+, including trade shows, supplier visits, and co-packer oversight.

What you will do

• Own the supplier base end to end, including supplier selection, consolidation, tiering, performance management, and commercial consequences.
• Lead negotiations covering pricing, minimum order quantities, lead times, rebates, payment terms, and supplier contracts.
• Drive gross margin improvement, landed COGS reduction, savings capture, and responses to supplier price increases.
• Set assortment and category strategies with revenue teams and lead private-label development from category selection through supplier development and launch.
• Build and lead hirify.global’s category management organization, including category design, hiring, success metrics, and review cadence.
• Represent the commercial supply chain strategy to executives and partner with Supply Chain, Sales, Finance, Legal, and revenue teams.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or merchandising, including 5+ years leading teams in distribution, foodservice, CPG, or a similar cost-of-goods-driven business.
• Experience managing more than $250 million in annual spend, with savings reflected in the P&L.
• Experience personally leading negotiations as the principal for contracts worth $10 million or more annually, including contract development and supplier terms.
• Experience managing commodity-exposed categories, making assortment decisions, and establishing new categories.
• Experience deploying an AI or advanced-analytics solution to address a sourcing problem.
• Executive presence and ability to partner with Supply Chain, Sales, and Finance on shared performance metrics.

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, finance, economics, or a related field; MBA preferred.
