Exception Specialist I - Onsite - Ridgeland, MS

What you will do

• Process and approve transportation service requests and reservations before or after trips.
• Enter and validate trip data and resolve exceptions according to service guidelines.
• Research benefit utilization, eligibility, waivers, urgent requests, pre-authorizations, denials, mileage, meals, lodging, and service levels.
• Manage denial and appeal processes and handle inbound and outbound fax, mail, email, web, and phone requests.
• Contact members, medical facilities, clients, and other parties to verify information and resolve requests.
• Monitor utilization and billing trends, report potential abuse or fraud, and escalate member dissatisfaction.

Requirements

• High school diploma required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Zero or more years of experience.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to learn new technologies and processes quickly and follow complex instructions.
• Fluent English reading, writing, and comprehension required.
