Patient Access Specialist - Full Time

Location: Onsite at Jupiter Medical Center in Jupiter, Florida, United States

Salary: $17.00–$18.15 per hour, based on experience

What you will do

• Perform patient admission, registration, and pre-registration for hospital services.
• Assign accurate medical record numbers, collect demographic and insurance information, and process physician orders.
• Verify insurance eligibility, select plan codes, enter benefit data, and support point-of-service collections and clean claims.
• Screen medical necessity using ABN software and distribute required Medicare, Tricare, observation, consent, and patient education forms.
• Operate the telephone switchboard and provide compassionate customer service to patients, guarantors, guardians, and colleagues.
• Audit patient accounts, correct documentation, and provide statistical data to Patient Access leadership.

Requirements

• Ability to work onsite at Jupiter Medical Center in Jupiter, Florida
• At least 1 year of customer service experience.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to work one of the available full-time schedules, including early morning, evening, or weekend shifts.
• CRCR certification required within 9 months of hire; certification is company-paid.
